Big PvE targets in ARC Raiders have a way of exposing weak loadouts fast. One minute you're cruising, the next the Queen's soaking rounds like it's nothing. That's why people keep talking about the Equalizer, and if you've been browsing ARC Raiders Items or just listening to squad chat, you've probably heard it mentioned as the go-to beam rifle for heavy armor.

On paper it's a fully automatic energy beam with a 50-round mag and a fire rate around 33.33, so it never feels sluggish. The stability is high too, roughly 84.6, which matters more than folks admit. When a boss starts stomping and you're half-panicking behind cover, a weapon that stays on target is a weapon that actually lands damage. Yes, the base damage number is only 8 and that's where the complaints come from. But you're not picking this thing for chunky single hits. You're picking it for strong armor penetration and the 2.0x headshot multiplier, because if you keep your beam on the helmet, the math starts to look a lot better.

The trade-off is simple: it chews energy ammo. You'll notice it on longer PvE routes, especially if you're the type to hold the trigger down until something falls over. Play it a bit smarter. Burst when you can, save the full spray for when the Queen's locked into an animation, and don't waste beams on trash mobs if your teammate's already cleaning them up. It also helps to bring a backup that's cheap to run, so you're not burning premium ammo on every little encounter. The Equalizer shines when it's used like a tool, not a crutch.

Buying it outright for 27,500 coins hurts, so most players aim to craft it instead. The blueprint hunt is tied to the Harvester event, not random luck from any old crate. When that mod appears on a map, treat it like a boss run and prep accordingly, because a Queen encounter is basically part of the package. Inside the Harvester you're looking for three power cells, and they're usually tucked up in the structure, so expect climbing, weird angles, and the occasional "wait, how do I get up there?" moment. Slot all three into the main console, then sweep the inner walls for the glowing yellow buttons that pop in. Break every one of them, unlock the central console, and loot the containers—this is where you've got a solid chance at the Equalizer blueprint.

If you're running Harvester attempts back-to-back, tighten the routine: mark cell locations as you find them, clear a safe pocket before you start the button phase, and bring something that pops targets cleanly between steps so you're not getting chipped down. A lot of players like carrying an Anvil for those quick mid-range headshots while they're moving through the interior. And if you're short on coins or crafting materials after a few messy runs, it's worth checking RSVSR since it's known for helping players pick up game currency or items without dragging the grind out forever, which makes the next Harvester push feel way less stressful.
